Everything the monthly close needs
Accrual close
Deferred revenue, accrued expenses, prepaid expenses and fixed assets booked monthly so the P&L reflects the period.
Revenue recognition
Subscriptions, annual prepayments, usage and pre-orders recognized under ASC 606, with a deferred revenue schedule that ties to Stripe or Chargebee.
Payroll and contractors
Gusto, Deel and Rippling runs booked by department; contractor spend tracked so 1099 preparation (an add-on) is a one-click export.
Spend management
Ramp, Brex and Mercury transactions categorized weekly with receipts matched.
Investor-ready reporting
Monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, burn and runway, in the format your board and your next lead investor expect.
Diligence and board packs (add-on)
As an add-on when you raise: a data room that reconciles, board packs, and answers for the questions investors and lenders actually ask.
From first call to a clean monthly close
The same process for a $1M Shopify store and a $95M multi-channel brand; only the volume changes.
Free health check
We review your books, revenue model and stack and tell you what a clean close looks like for your stage.
Setup
Chart of accounts for your business model, connections to bank, cards, payroll and billing, revenue schedule built.
Clean start
Catch-up on prior months where needed.
Monthly close
Close by the 15th of the month, often sooner, with a review of burn, runway and any variances.

Our financials look great for the first time in ages. I reviewed everything, and I'm SO THANKFUL! It makes a huge difference.

Before you book
When should a startup switch to accrual bookkeeping?
As soon as you bill in advance, carry inventory, or plan to raise from institutional investors. Cash-basis books cannot show deferred revenue or true monthly margin, and diligence will require accrual anyway.
Do you handle revenue recognition for annual plans?
Yes. Annual prepayments are deferred and recognized monthly under ASC 606, with a schedule that reconciles to your billing system.
What does startup bookkeeping cost?
From $695 a month on Starter (cash basis) and $1,195 on Growth (accrual); most venture-backed companies are on Growth, Enterprise or Controller & CFO depending on entities, currencies and reporting needs.
Can you work with our tax firm and our fractional CFO?
Yes. We keep the books; your tax firm files from our year-end package and your CFO gets a monthly close they can model from.
Do you offer controllership?
On the Controller & CFO plan: full-suite controllership with policies, accounts payable and receivable management, forecasting and reporting. 1099 preparation, diligence support and board packs are add-ons on any plan.
Are 1099s, diligence support and board packs included?
They are add-ons on every plan, scoped per year end or per raise, so you pay for them only in the years you need them.
